The Spiritual Restoration Program is patterned after a highly successful intervention program that helps men whose lives have been shattered by problems that have overpowered and overtaken their lives. Drug addiction, alcoholism, and emotional upheaval are just a few of the problems that the program seeks to heal. The Spiritual Restoration Program reclaims, restores and redeems that which has been lost or destroyed in the individual’s life. The Program seeks to accomplish these goals through helping the individual discover mental and spiritual freedom.

A drug user is often a product of his environment. Understanding this, we first get them off the street and into a caring home. Once there, the addict begins a rigorous faith-based, six month program that restores the whole person, body, soul, and spirit.

An essential part in the growth of an individual’s spiritual life is the development of character and positive work habits. That’s why our comprehensive program is based on a rigorous daily discipline of personal study, prayer, group discussions, and community service.

Those who run this home know it’s not an easy road, because many of them are ex-addicts themselves. Yet through their tough-love, compassion and support, we are seeing tremendous results.

Once a person completes the Spiritual Restoration Program, we do not want to release them back into the environment without a support system to prevent relapse.

The House of Praise International Church will continue to offer support through small groups that meet throughout the community for worship, bible study, and fellowship. These groups help the individual continue to reintegrate into society. Our goal is to partner with other social programs within the community in order to see our men become productive members of society.

By partnering with community organizations, this additional support system helps them get jobs and assures that they can become economically self-sufficient. If they need further training, they are channeled to the appropriate agencies and we monitor their progress. They are also encouraged to participate in their communities and their local church. Of course, they continue to build on the groundwork laid, ensuring they’ll be emotionally, mentally and spiritually vibrant.
